What have you done to make your business stand out and sell more products?
My business philosophy is very simple, I treat my customers the way I want to be treated when I shop. Now I know that sounds like a no brainer but you'd be surprised how many companies don't follow that philosophy. When someone asks a question regarding shipping, pricing, pickup, buying multiple items or whatever it is, I always answer their question quickly and with as much detail as possible. I even give my personal cell phone to any customer that needs or asks to talk to someone direct.
My policies as far as shipping and returns are very clearly worded so customers know if they are not happy that they can always contact me and I will do everything I can to correct anything that comes up. I always end my emails with a kind "Thank You" and my name - my customers really like the extra effort and personal touch.
What challenges do you face as an eCommerce Retailer?
Product sourcing is always an issue, meaning the more I have, the more I can sell. I am always looking for new and hot items to turn around and make a good profit. I have looked at many different sourcing websites, unfortunately that is very time consuming and you really never know what kind of service you're going to get, or what the product will actually be like when it gets to your customer's house.
The biggest problem I usually have with products is finding a place to keep it when I find it. I have filled my garage, extra bedrooms in my house and rented storage units. This cuts into my bottom line profits which is never a good thing. That's when I realized I needed a good dropshipping strategy and I signed up with Doba.
Before you started to work with Doba, what were you hoping to accomplish?
Before I started using Doba I was all over the place. I was listing products on eBay without having any type of niche and just selling whatever items I could get my hands on. What I was missing was a niche. When I found Doba all I wanted to do was find my niche, and with Doba that's not very hard. They have so many different products categories that it is very easy to find my niche… I've been with Doba ever since!
How has Doba helped in the growth of your business?
The greatest thing about finding Doba a year ago is they have enabled me to really take my business to the next level. Before I was making only a little money, but after I started sourcing most of my products with Doba it has been amazing. I have been able to take my sales from about $2000 or $3000 a month to over $30,000 without having to keep any products on hand!
I would very highly recommend Doba to anyone who truly wants to take their eCommerce business to the next level. Not only do they have more products to sell then most people know what to do with, Doba also has the most amazing customer service on the planet! Ashlee, my support representative at Doba, has gone way out of her way more than once to fix or make any situation easier that may not be going right. I owe a lot of my success to her and Doba.
I have heard over and over don't use a dropshipper you will not make any money and the orders will never get to the customers. Well, I think these people need to check out Doba because I am living proof that it can be done well and done right.
