Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
|
The following items are not allowed to be listed on Doba.com:
• Narcotics, steroids, and other controlled substances (including any substance listed in Schedules I, II, III, IV, or V of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.)
• Items that claim to provide a "legal high"
• Pipes, or any item marketed as for use with marijuana or illegal drugs
• Tobacco pipes, and other smoking accessories not intended for drug use, are allowed
• Vaporizers intended to be used with alcohol, marijuana, or illegal substances

Electronic equipment
|
The following types of electronic equipment are not allowed:
• Electronic items prohibited by government agencies, including cell phones, GPS radar, and other signal jamming devices. See the FCC's jammer enforcement for more information
• Traffic light control devices
• CB amplifiers and radio equipment that operates in both CB and HAM frequencies
• Odometer modification devices
• Equipment such as low power transmitting devices, high-frequency transceivers, cordless telephones, and radar detectors not authorized by the FCC
• Appliances for sale in California that do not meet applicable efficiency standards
• Surveillance items that are intended to photograph, or record the conversations or activities of others without their knowledge
Cameras, recorders, or other similar devices can be listed as long as the description doesn't encourage their use for illegal purposes.

Embargoed goods
|
Sellers can't list embargoed goods or pre-embargoed goods from these countries or regions:
• Cuba
• Crimea region of Ukraine (as defined under applicable sanctions)
• Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)
• Iran
• Syria
Organizations, businesses, or individuals based in the countries listed above, or those on the United States' Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs) list can't register accounts on Doba

Firearms and accessories
|
The following are not allowed:
• Firearms of any type
• Parts and accessories for assault weapons, including blueprints and instructions
• Any part or accessory in violation of local law
• Firearm receivers, even if incomplete
• Ammunition for firearms, including bullets, cartridges, casings, shells, and hulls
• The following firearm accessories are not allowed:
• Frames, kits used to create a firearm, flash suppressors, silencers, sears, high capacity magazines that accept more than 10 rounds (even if they have been modified to accept fewer), magazine extenders, bump fire stocks, grenade launchers, and pistol conversion kits
• The following accessories for semiautomatic pistols are not allowed:
• Barrel shrouds, forward pistol grips, and threaded barrels
Listings for firearms parts and accessories that we allow must follow these guidelines:
Listings for firearms parts and accessories that we allow must follow these guidelines:
• The listing must clearly identify the part or accessory being sold as well as the type of firearm it fits ("type" can mean general use and not necessarily brand or manufacturer). For example, "This part can be used with bolt-action rifles."
• The item must be listed on the US site (Doba.com) and offer domestic shipping only
• The item must comply with California state law
Examples of allowed firearm parts and accessories:
• En bloc clips
• Barrels (exceptions: shotgun barrels less than 18 inches and rifle barrels less than 16 inches are prohibited)
• Bolts
• Choke tubes
• Cylinders
• Firing pins
• Hammers
• Slides
• Trigger assemblies

Encouraging illegal activity
|
Items or information that might enable or encourage illegal activity is not allowed. Examples include:
• Kill switch-activated electronic devices, including smartphones and tablets
• Items that can enable illegal activity, such as:
• Pill presses
• Blank rain checks
• Selling USPS shipping materials
• Products designed to fake the results of drug tests
• Selling votes or ballots
• Information on how to use or make illegal drugs, bombs, or explosives
Lockpicking or locksmithing devices are not allowed. Some examples include:
• Bump keys
• Slim jims
• Devices to make or duplicate keys
• Devices designed to pick a lock
• Code-grabbing devices

Credit and debit card policy
|
The following types of cards and money orders are not allowed:
• Active credit, debit, or store credit cards, including prepaid credit cards
• Non-embossed bank or store credit cards
• Current and active money orders
• Expired bank and store cards
The following types of cards are allowed:
• Blank plastic cards with or without magnetic strips

Knives and other weapon policy
|
Only knives that follow certain rules can be listed on Doba. No other knives are allowed.
We take our role in community safety seriously, and in accordance with government regulations and international laws, we prohibit the sale of some kinds of knives on our site.
The following or similar types of knives aren't allowed:
• Automatic knives
• Butterfly knives
• Dual-action knives
• Gravity knives
• out-the-front knives
• Paratrooper knives
• Push knives
• Switchblade knives
• Sword canes
• Spring-assisted knives where there is no manual movement by a thumb stud or screw clearly visible on the blade
• Hidden or disguised knives such as writing pen knives or belt buckle knives
Sellers can list the following type of knives:
• All types of knives not in the previous list are allowed.

Medical devices policy
|
Any medical device that requires a prescription can't be sold on Doba, including:
• Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machines (CPAP)
• Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) units, and any accessories that require a prescription
• Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (TENS), and any accessories that require a prescription
• Oxygen concentrators, compressors, or conservers, and any accessories that require a prescription
• Nebulizers and their accessories
• Pulse oximeters that require a prescription
• Implantable devices, such as pacemakers, heart valves, vascular grafts, ventricular bypass devices, and implantable infusion pumps
Needles, with or without a disposable syringe, and items that have passed their expiration date are also prohibited.
There are restrictions on the sale of the following items:
• Listings must state in the item description if the device has been opened or used:
• Used items must be properly cleaned
• Used items must not be altered in any way that changes the performance or safety specifications of the device
• The item description should clearly state the product expiration date
• Items must reach the buyer before the expiration date
• Some medical devices can only be sold with government authorization. Listings for these items must follow the rules below:
• The following information must be included in the item description:
• The seller's name, city, state, and telephone number
• The seller's business name, if applicable
• A statement that the item has been cleaned and handled in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
• A copy of the following statement:
"The sale of this item may be subject to regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and state and local regulatory agencies. If so, do not bid on this item unless you are an authorized purchaser. If the item is subject to FDA regulation, I will verify your status as an authorized purchaser of this item before shipping the item."
• Listings for hearing aids must include the following FDA disclaimer:
"According to the FDA, it is in your best health interest to obtain a professional medical evaluation before purchasing a hearing aid and you are encouraged to do so before bidding on this item. If you choose to not obtain a medical evaluation before purchasing this item, I am required by law to provide to you and obtain from you a signed written waiver of the medical evaluation, and I am required to provide to you a copy of the User Instruction Brochure for a hearing aid, review the contents of that brochure with you, and afford you time to read the brochure. You must provide to me either a signed statement from a physician or a signed waiver before I will deliver this item to you. Upon your request, I will also provide to you a copy of the User Instructional Brochure for the hearing aid or the name and address of the manufacturer or distributor from whom a User Instructional Brochure for the hearing aid can be obtained."
The following items can be sold:
• Over-the-counter (OTC) medical devices
• Vintage or collectible medical devices, but listings must state that these are not intended for use
• New disposable syringes can be listed, but needles cannot be included

Military Police-related items policy
|
The following items can't be listed for sale on Doba:
• Law enforcement and other government-issued uniforms, badges, or accessories, such as hats, jackets, and shirts, or replicas of these items
• Official emergency lighting systems or sirens, including lenses or LEDs for these systems
The following items are not allowed:
• Explosives of any type including grenades of any kind, land mines, missiles, rockets, or launchers
• Military ordnance such as weapons or ammunition, regardless of whether the item is considered demilitarized or unserviceable
• Items for military use only
• Most military vehicles, including aircraft and ships, and their parts and accessories
• Military-issued body armor, Level 4 body armor, or body armor stamped with "The US", including Outer Tactical Vests (OTV), or Small Armor Protective Insert (SAPI) plates
• SAPI plates that aren't properly described
• Interceptor Body Armor (IBA), including items manufactured by Point Blank (PBI), Second Chance (SCI), and Armor Holding
• Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) and Interceptor Outer Tactical Vests (OTV) with or without plates
• Detachable groin armor and neck armor
• Technical data as defined under Part 120 of the ITAR, including user manuals for military items
Sellers can list the following items:
• Military surplus items such as military-related backpacks, blankets, canteens, clothing, footlockers, hats, helmets, and other items that you can find in online and retail stores
Sellers can list these restricted items:
• Items identified on the US Munitions List found in the ITAR Part 121 that are allowed such as commercially available body armor, firearm scopes, and night vision goggles must follow all applicable laws and meet all of the following criteria:
• The buyer, the seller, and the item are all located in the US
• The seller specifically states the item will only be shipped domestically (within the US)
• The buyer certifies that they're a US citizen or permanent resident
• The buyer intends to use the item for personal use only and has no intention of exporting the item outside the US
• Body armor is allowed if:
• It isn't military issued
• It's a level I, II, or III body armor or Small Arms Protection Insert (SAPI) plate which is included in the listing
• The listing includes the manufacturer and model designation with a clear picture that verifies the information
• The listing includes the following disclaimer, "This model complies with NIJ Standard-0101.06 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor"

Prescription and over-the-counter drugs policy
|
• Prescription drugs or drugs containing prescription-strength medication cannot be listed
• Tainted supplements identified in the FDA database are not allowed to be listed.
• Over-the-counter medication containing non-prescription strength drugs must:
• Clearly state the concentration of the prescription drug in the description
• Not be expired prior to reaching the buyer, and clearly state the expiration in the description
• Herbal, holistic, or drug-like remedies can't imply any non-government-approved treatments or be compared to any prescription drug
• It is not allowed to claim any health benefits from legal substances that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hasn't approved
• Veterinary medicines classified as GSL, or OTC by the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine may be sold, however, any medication product listed below is not allowed:
• Does not have a marketing authorization for sale in the US
• Requires a prescription defined by the FDA
• Any injectable substances, including vitamins, and regardless of whether they’re available over the counter
• Repackaged over-the-counter medications, including flea and tick medications
• Any Frontline flea control products
• Sentinel, Revolution, Heartgard, and Interceptor heartworm medicines

The following dangerous & highly toxic chemicals are not allowed:
• benzene
• formaldehyde
• mercury
• arsenic
• ammonia
• toluene
• carbon monoxide
• methylene chloride
• asbestos
• ethylene oxide
• nicotine
• sulfuric acid
• phosgene
• ricin
• cadmium
• biphenyl
• chlorine trifluoride
• sarin
• vx
• hydrogen sulfide
• hexavalent chromium
• vinyl chloride
• ethylene glycol
• Other substances appear in the EPA list of extremely hazardous substances

| Other items that are deemed inappropriate and thus not allowed by Doba |
• Map products that violate any jurisdictions cannot be listed
• Mas products that are marked as “for medical use/surgical mask/medical mask” cannot be listed
• Nature's Way or Kyolic products cannot be listed
• Vaping/e-cigarette and related products are not allowed
• Jewelry/watch products which are priced more than 500 US dollars are not allowed
• Any other products that are deemed as inappropriate or prohibited by Doba can be listed. |
